HISTORICAL archivio
As from the 1st of July 2020 it is possible to consult the ARCHIVIO CAFFARELLI records. The reordering and cataloguing intervention by the archival Superintendence and the Bibliography of Lazio was brilliantly completed by the archivist V. Angeletti.
The Caffarelli archivio is a complex collection consisting of 1492 archival units. The archiviod documentation, which spans the years 1439 to 1984, has been subdivided into 5 collections. The Caffarelli collection, the Vivaldi Armentieri collection, the Della Porta Rodiani collection, the Dandi Gangalandi collection and the Negroni collection. These noble families in modern times established family bonds with the Caffarelli Family. However, every archival collection reflects the history of each single noble family before the marital union which determined the fusion of the families.
In the various archival collections one can find ledgers, registers and records concerning real estate, wills and testaments, matrimonial acts, trials, account managements, historical photos, prints, drawings.

No, poiché l’Archivio Caffarelli è stato dichiarato di notevole interesse storico il 15 aprile 1978 ed è pertanto soggetto alla normativa statale (Codice dei Beni Culturali e del Paesaggio - D.Lgs n.42 del 22 gennaio 2004), può essere consultato dagli studiosi che ne facciano richiesta sia alla Soprintendenza Archivistica e Bibliografica del Lazio, sia direttamente all’Associazione Culturale Archivio Caffarelli, muniti di Lettera di presentazione.
